  Waterfalls and Lakes
The South Carolina Upstate has some of the most beautiful natural waterfalls in the Southeast. One of the most popular waterfalls is Looking Glass Falls. This fall got its name from the water freezing on its sides and then glistening in the sunlight so it looks like a mirror or a looking glass. It is no wonder Looking Glass Falls is one of the most popular falls in the southeast.

Twin Falls, located in Pickens County, boasts two beautiful waterfalls. If you are fortunate enough to go after a good rain, you can even see a third cascade to the right of the other two! Twin Falls is just a short drive and an easy 15 minute hike back into the Eastatoe Creek Gorge. It is a beautiful trip through the woods as the creek ripples beside you all along the way.

WildCat Falls is another popular attraction many people choose to visit because of the beautiful falls. It is located alongside SC 11 just a short two mile drive from Solitude Pointe. There is a 10-foot free fall of water and also different sections of rock that make the water flow at a unique pace. The total height of all three sections of this waterfall has been estimated at up to 175 feet.

Raven Cliff Falls is an estimated 420-foot feet tall. Raven Cliff Falls is located in the Caesar's Head area of upstate South Carolina. Raven Cliff Falls is a moderate hike to arguably the most beautiful falls in the state. There is a platform below the falls for viewing Raven Cliff Falls. You may also choose to enjoy the falls from the swinging bridge that sits in front of the falls. Either one you choose you can't miss out on these spectacular views.

Lake Keowee is located near Seneca, SC and is known as one of the most beautiful fresh water lakes in the southeast. With its location being in the northwest corner of South Carolina, Lake Keowee boasts beautiful views of the foothills. Lake Keowee has over 300 miles of shoreline with only a quarter of it developed. This lake is perfect for escaping the busy everyday lifestyle to favorite pastimes of being on the water fishing, skiing or swimming.

Lake Jocassee is another favorite lake to visit in the Upstate. It has crystal clear water with more than 70 miles of wooded shoreline. There is very little development on this lake and most of the natural beauty has been untouched by man. Rent a boat or bring your own and visit the beautiful waterfalls hidden around Lake Jocassee!
