Hagood Mill will be hosting an Old Time Jam and Camping Weekend, April 19-21, 2024. Gates open at noon on Friday. Festivities will begin Friday evening at the Heritage Pavilion with a concert featuring the Tennessee Hillbuddies (made up of Henry Barnes, Ali Kafka, Conner Vlietstra, and Trevor Holder) and Timber Doodle (made up of Owen Grooms, JT Linville, and Brian VanAntwerp) beginning at 7 pm. Tickets for Friday night's concert are $5 and can be purchased online or at the door the evening of the event.

Hagood Mill Historic Site

About 15 miles from Solitude Pointe is the historic Hagood Mill. Featuring an 1845 gristmill, restored log cabins, blacksmith shop, cotton gin, moonshine still, nature trails, and a gift shop featuring local crafters, musicians and authors! Make sure to stop by and get your ON-SITE ground grits, meals, and flour products available throughout each month in the Gift Shop!
Located on the same grounds is the Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site of South Carolina (open Wednesday - Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm).
Folklife Festivals are the 3rd Saturday of each month. Admission is $5 per person aged 13+. Children 12 and under are free and there are no parking fees.

- At Hillbilly Day, you won't find any fireworks, but at one of the oldest festivals in the state, you'll find clogging, square dancing, country and bluegrass music, crafts, food, soap making and old-time games. Take a break from the same old 4th of July routine and head to Mountain Rest. Free admission and parking. July 4, 9am-3pm.
- Easley 4th of July Festival Live music each day featuring over 15 bands, the Ultimate Air Dog Show and a Kids Zone, all Free! Fireworks on July 4 at 9:45 p.m. July 2-4.
- Celebrate Simpsonville is free to attend and will feature the legendary Village People with American disco favorite A Taste of Honey followed by a 15-minute fireworks show. July 3 at 6pm.
- Red, White, and Boom at Barnet Park is the perfect setting for Spartanburg's Independence Day celebration. Enjoy great food, patriotic music by the Spartanburg Community Band then a major musical act to dance the night away. Then enjoy Spectacular Fireworks! July 4 at 6pm.

Fireworks are back at the Pumpkintown Mountain Opry on July 4 ... a one night celebration in the mountains -it's become both a tradition & a fund raiser for the Pumpkintown Fire Department who puts it on... free to enjoy with the family but if you have it come with enough to buy a burger served up by your local fire fighters.

Music on the Mountain Bluegrass Jam

Looking for a place to take your Sweetie for Valentine's Day? How about a Hot Tub Cabin at Solitude Pointe (make reservations at www.solitudepointe.com) and bluegrass music on Saturday afternoon (details beside)?! "Music on the Mountain" bluegrass jam sessions are held monthly at the Table Rock Lodge. Local musicians are invited to come out, bring their acoustical instruments and play along. The jam sessions are free of charge, and refreshments will also be served. Donations are accepted to cover the cost of refreshments.

Something new from Solitude Pointe! We have a new reservation policy that will allow our guests to receive a full refund if they need to cancel at the last minute due to unforeseen illness. This new policy is called Worry Free Booking and covers the following:
- Illness / Injury - Pre-existing Medical Condition - Pregnancy Complication - Covid-19 Infection - Death of Immediate Family Member
Here's how it works: When you make a reservation at Solitude Pointe for a date more than 14 days out, you will see where Worry Free Booking adds a non-refundable 10% of your reservation total. You will receive a link in your confirmation email. If the need to cancel arises (for one of the above reasons), you would fill out the details, upload the requested information, and your credit card will be refunded, less the Worry Free Booking charge.
Thank you for your patience as we implement this new feature. We are excited to offer our guests an extra layer of protection as they travel!

Folklife Festivals – The Third Saturday of Each Month! See the Historic Hagood Mill in action. The old mill produces stone ground grits, corn meal, flour and specialty items available for purchase.
Admission is $5 per person aged 13+. Children 12 and under are free and there are no parking fees. The Historic Hagood Mill will operate and folks can come purchase their grits fresh off the grinding stone and enjoy the site! Bring lawn chairs or a blanket for seating in front of the courtyard stage which features a wide range of entertainment throughout the year.

The Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site is located a stone's throw from the Historic Hagood Mill. The Petroglyph Site is a museum that boasts the most accessible and only protected petroglyphs in the state of South Carolina. The site houses a large boulder with thirty-two distinct petroglyphs, eighteen represent people, and several are abstracts, but they all have one thing in common – THEY ARE AWESOME. The Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site opened in 2016.

An Amazing Find in Landrum - Mocha's Mug!

All of our guests like to know where they can go to shop. Neat, local stuff. Antiques and things you can't just find anywhere. We always suggest that they try Landrum, SC. What an awesome downtown! Today, I met some friends there and found another new shop - a coffee shop I hadn't seen before. Mocha's Mug was wonderful! The perfect place to sit and visit with delicious coffee and delightful treats. It's about 40 minutes from Solitude Pointe. A little far for me to go on a regular basis, but perfect for our guests to try. I wanted to share their information with you to help them stay in business!
